  • May Newsletter - Kansa Wands

Hi everyone and welcome to my newsletter if you’re new and thanks for returning if you are not.

I am going to talk a little more about the new products that I introduced last month as well as reveal another two new treatments.

Firstly the new oils which are organic are by a company called Oshadhi. 'Oshadhi' is a Sanskrit word, meaning 'healing plant'. The roots of the word literally mean 'carrier of light'; so the ancient people saw the healing plants as conveyors and transformers of the energy of the sun for the benefit of mankind.

The Vedic culture of India possessed massive knowledge of aromatic plants and essential oils. In those times, great sages, skilled in the art of healing, gave the realm of healing plants the name 'Oshadhi' - bestower of light's energy.

Oshadhi uses the regenerative power of plant oils in their natural, unadulterated form. The products stand for uncompromising purity, diversity and quality. The magic of Oshadhi essential oils - their outstanding therapeutic efficiency and depth of fragrance - stems of course from the plants themselves. The supplier ensures that each product contains the intelligence and healing power of the plant in its purest form. The oils are bottled without coming into contact with high energy electromagnetic fields, because this disturbs their subtle energy, and they play music to them all night. Everything is done to ensure that they the oils remain in their optimal therapeutic condition.

The playing of music to the oils might sound a bit farfetched to you, but as a therapist who works with sound I know the energy of anything can be changed with the right sound.

I hope you notice the difference in your treatments with the use of these powerhouse oils.

The skincare used in the organic facial I released last month is also from Oshadhi. The products are equally sublime, all containing plants, oils and waters from the same source.

    Kansa wands

    What is Kansa?

THE "HEALING BRONZE METAL" OF ANCIENT INDIA

Kansa metal was first made in the Bronze Age approximately 5000 years ago, by the same people that developed the practices and principles of Ayurveda.

The sacred metal alloy, Kansa, is made up the highest quality metal consisting of copper and tin (with minute traces of zinc) which is 99.96% pure and does not contain any nickel or lead.

This ancient blend of metals is known in Ayurveda as the "Healing metal". Kansa was made into many healing implements, and said to be one of the most unique alloys known to human kind. It has been used for centuries in India to enhance health and strength, increase energy, and support general well-being and longevity.

The healing ability of drinking and eating in Bronze vessels has been documented in both Ancient medicines and alternative medicines in recent times.

In the western world Kansa is more widely known as "Bell metal" and is used for making Bells. They use this particular metal because of the soothing sound it makes.

Kansa massagers are now fitted with a Rosewood handle for ease of use.

The healing properties of the metal arise from massage using the wands and eating and drinking from Kansa dining ware. This has been documented in Ancient medicines as well as alternative medicines in recent times. Kansa massage has been practiced in India for centuries following the tried and trusted Ayurveda tradition.

For many years Kansa cups (as they were known then, before they had a handle) were used to massage to promote health and well-being. Children's feet were massaged before bedtime to promote sleep, reduce stress and balance their energy levels.

Ayurvedic Physicians often gave the family of their patients a Kansa cup to massage the patient at home.

As soon as you experience the massage wand on your face, foot or body you will instantly feel more relaxed.

They will help relieve stress levels, promote a better health and well-being to all and provide a more restful sleep.

The benefits of massaging with Kansa Massage wands include:

    • Improved blood and lymph circulation

    • Enhanced lower limb mobility

    • Restores levels of Prana (energy)

    • Promotes sound sleep

    • Relieves eye strain

    • Relaxes tired feet

    • Improves digestion and gastric problems

    • Kansa contains no nickel or lead only pure Bronze 99.96%

Other benefits of Kansa Wand Face Massage:

    • Revitalizes face, shoulder, and neck muscles

    • Gently lifts facial skin

    • Reduces face pain, head pain and tension

    • Reduces acidity

    • Detoxifying

    • Unifies body, mind and spirit

WHY DOES THE SKIN TURN GREY WHEN USING THE KANSA MASSAGER?

Kansa or Ancient Bronze (copper plus tin with a trace of zinc) is a very sensitive metal. Kansa is a very effective transmitter of electromagnetism and reacts positively when acidity is present. This is a very beneficial part of its use on the skin..

The PRIMARY REASON for the greying effect is ACIDITY. The acidity reacts with the metal and creates a grey colour to the skin. When this happens, it is a positive action, and you are eliminating excess acid/toxins. Copper increases energy and tin removes any excess.

The greyness doesn't occur with everyone and may only happen once in a while, it depends on your health levels, how hard your skin has been working and how the environment has affected it.

Thanks to Haley the only UK supplier for allowing me to copy and paste the above information. https://www.kansawands.co.uk I was lucky enough to meet her and work with her on a training course we had both booked on in February. We swap many self treatment stories.....

Warmed Ghee (clarified butter) or organic sesame oil is used on the feet to aid the movement of the wand and to increase the detox benefits.

So this month I am introducing the Kansa wand facial and Kansa wand Reflexology.

    Kansa Reflexology

The treatment is wonderfully relaxing and helps to balance body, mind and spirit. It begins by cleansing the feet with charcoal to start the deep cleansing effect. Then, slowly and methodically the entire feet and lower legs (toes, feet, ankles, calves) are encouraged to relax through the application of massage techniques carried out with the aid of coconut oil, ghee (clarified butter) or sesame oil. The treatment is performed with a Kansa wand which contains 3 metals copper, zinc and tin. Copper is thought to help in reducing pain and inflammation, zinc is thought to help in proper functioning of the digestive and immune systems while tin is believed to be helpful in digestion, relieving headaches and insomnia. Reflexology using warmed rose quartz wands continues the treatment focusing on the main energy points, these points may help to relieve certain conditions around the body and free the energy flow. The whole treatment is approx 1 hour 20 minutes £48 (introduced this month at £42)

    Kansa Organic Facial

A beautiful healing treatment using only pure organic oils and plant extracts combined with massage using a Kansa wand made from pure Bronze, which includes the metals Copper, Tin and a trace amounts of Zinc. They have been used for many years with some fantastic health and wellness benefits. The skin becomes more hydrated, toned and you may see an improvement on fine lines. The treatment helps to reduce stress and provides a gentle face-lifting therapy. The Kansa wand provides gentle friction to facial muscles that helps draw acidity from the tissues. The whole treatment includes a scalp massage too and is approx 1 hour 10 minutes £45 (introduced this month at £40)

Also on special offer this month.

    All things Ayurvedic

    Indian Head massage £35

    Indian champissage Facial £39

  • April Newsletter and price increase

Hi everyone and welcome to this month’s newsletter.

I have just come back from a mediation training course and spent some time with an Organic farmer. It’s been really interesting to learn about the benefits of swapping to organic products and food. It was my intention to swap my aromatherapy oils to organic this year anyway but talking to him has hastened my decision.

So I am very pleased to say that I have taken delivery of a number of either wild grown and organic essential oils which I will be using for massage and facials. I am also introducing an Organic facial with 100% organic ingredients, plant and oil based. It’s on special this month so come and enjoy this yummy treat.

3 reasons you should buy organic beauty products:

    1. Organic beauty ingredients are produced without the use of as many artificial fertilisers, pesticides, or other synthetic chemicals as conventional beauty ingredients. By using organic skincare, I want to make sure that the ingredients I use in have not been treated with the same number of synthetic pesticides or fertilisers.

Certain chemicals used as pesticides have been found to persist in the food chain and have been found to accumulate in human body tissue. Health concerns have been raised about pesticide exposure and about the ‘chemical cocktail’ often applied to non-organic food all over the world. These chemicals could penetrate into your skin, get further into your body – possibly even into your bloodstream – and cause short-term or chronic health issues.

    2. Organic farming doesn’t just benefit the end users of its produce, it’s also better for the environment. By being less dependent on oil-based fertilisers and pesticides, organic farming methods offer a practical model for addressing climate-friendly production of food and beauty ingredients. This method of farming also stores higher levels of carbon in the soil.

    3. Organic farming recognises the direct connection between our health and the way that our food and our beauty products are produced. Organic farmers typically take a holistic approach that respects and harnesses the power of natural processes to build positive health across the ecology of the farm.

The other piece of news is that there is a small price increase this month, the first in 2 years. But it’s only a pound or two at the most. You are still getting the same level of care and nurturing as always from me.

    Organic Facial

This facial involves the use of 100% paraben free products, leaving the skin marvellously rejuvenated and refreshed. In addition to combating signs of ageing, our faces are constantly being subjected to harsh ecological factors as well as harmful skin products. This facial is from a range of skincare containing pure plant extracts and exotic floral oils to simulate the skin. Helping to unclog pores, exfoliate, increase circulation and deep cleanse the skin. Giving you a clearer and brighter completion which is hydrated and ultra soft. It will be £42 – introduction price £37

    Plus all things Zen.

Zen Restoration 75 minutes of combination of Aromatherapy massage to the face and head, Reflexology, Crystal healing, Reiki and Sound Healing - £45

Zenflexology Harnessing the energy of Quartz crystals, Reiki, Massage and Aromatherapy this hour and a quarter treatment will bliss you out for ages. The treatment is started with a head, neck and shoulder massage with aromatherapy oils, and then selected crystals are placed on and around the head. Using warmed rose quartz wands the feet are taken through a full reflexology massage - £45

  • March Newsletter

March offers us the Spring Equinox Festival where day and night are equal in length, reminding us of the need for balance in our lives. Why not practise the art of communication, of being open to people you meet. For change begins with the energy you give out and this too becomes the energy you receive.

On the Equinox (March 20th) put aside a whole day to walk in wild places, with friends or alone, depending on your need. Set off early with simple food and drink, a notebook, a compass, a walkers map an some quests such as: to find the source of a stream, to climb a peak, to seek out a special tree to site with and learn from … Aim to hold the balance between your inner and outer self and listen to your heart as well as your mind. Whatever you give your energy to right now will grow, so be conscious of what inner seeds you are nurturing. Ask yourself how you can make simple and joyful lifestyle changes that will not only improve the quality of your life, but will help to heal the planetary imbalances of our time. End the day by planting seeds that are charged with our new intentions; grow more than you need so you have seedlings to give away. Tune in with the spirit of primrose – giving courage and strength to get out and start again after the winter, primrose entices us out into the garden to begin tidying and preparing for sprint planting. Restoring energy and renewing enthusiasm for life.

Historically it is always considered a good time to spring clean. So spring clean your mind and body with some treatment suggestions on special offer this month.

GlycoRadiance AHA treatment - As an alternative to microdermabrasion, this 40% glycolic acid treatment deeply exfoliates and clarifies the skin. It gently removes dead skin cells, stimulates cell renewal and restores luminosity and radiance to the skin. It also softens scar tissue and is therefore recommended for post acne scaring, hyper pigmentation and chloasma conditions. A course of six treatments is recommended followed by one a month as maintenance £37

Himalayan salt facial - The Himalayas are the world’s most tranquil, serene, peaceful and undeveloped region; therefore the salt crystals mined from the foothills of the Himalayas are still pure and untouched by pollution. This amazing skin-nutritive facial uses five key products to infuse the skin with minerals, marine collagen, antioxidants, vitamins and omegas leaving it looking healthy, radiant and glowing. Salt stones are used within the treatment to tone and Detox. The treatment can easily be tailored to suit dry, normal, combination and even sensitive skins. £37

Thermal Auricular Therapy (Hopi Ear Candles)- Also known as ear candling this is a holistic approach to ear syringing. A wonderful relaxing treatment which can help many physical and psychological complaints. The treatment represents a cleansing program for the body as a whole, not just the ears. The "chimney effect" created is a sucking motion when the end of the candle is lit. The flame creates a vibration of moving air, rising up through the candle, which serves to gently massage the ear drum. This induces a pleasant feeling of warmth and balance of pressure in the ears, forehead and sinuses. It is soothing and helpful for earache and headache, ear noises (tinnitus), vertigo and pressure from flying. Also it is soothing for stress and nervousness. The physical effect often described after the treatment is a soothing deep sense of security and feeling of happiness. It is a safe and effective treatment for children too. Although for anyone with a perforated eardrum or who has grommets fitted, it is not safe. £31

    Hot Stone Aromatherapy Massage

Like herbalism aromatherapy draws on the healing powers of the plant world, but instead of using the whole or part of the plant, it employs only it's essential oil. This potent substance is housed in tiny glands on the outside or deep inside the roots, wood, leaves, flowers or fruit of the plant. When combining carefully blended oils to suit each individual and massage with warmed basalt stones, this type of therapy is second to none. Full body massage with scrub containing bamboo and detox oil. Revive your skin and senses £48

Back Detox A purifying back treatment including, cleanse, exfoliation with mineral salts, hot stone massage with essential oils and mask £37

    Reiki

The practice of Reiki is an original method of healing, developed by Mikao Usui in Japan early in the 20th century, which is activated by intention. It works on many levels, not just the physical.

The Japanese word Reiki means ‘Universal Energy’. Eastern medicine has always recognised and worked with this energy, which flows through all living things and is vital to well-being. Known as ‘ki’ in Japan, ‘chi’ in China and ‘prana’ in India. Acupuncture, T’ai chi and Yoga are also based on the free-flow of this energy in a person.

Illness can be a time of great stress. Reiki can help us cope by encouraging relaxation and bringing balance to both mind and emotions.

Benefits reported by Clients include deep relaxation, promoting a calm, peaceful sense of well being on all levels.

Reiki encourages and supports positive personal choices, such as improving diet, taking more exercise, devoting time for rest or leisure activities, and may reduce the need for alcohol and tobacco. Engendering greater inner harmony and balance, regular Reiki treatments promote a calmer response to life’s challenges.

Reiki’s gentle energy is easily adapted to most medical conditions and may be used safely by people of all ages, including the newborn, pregnant mothers, surgical patients, the frail and the elderly, in any situation. Being complementary, Reiki works effectively alongside orthodox healthcare and natural remedies, expanding treatment options.

Reiki can enhance everyday living, and regular sessions may help to promote development of a healthier, more resourceful state of being. Crystal Healing

As well as being beautiful to look at crystals have been used for healing for centuries. Our bodies are made from energy each part moving (vibrating) at a certain frequency. When this delicate energy state is unbalanced, for example through stress, disease occurs. Crystals are a natural source of energy from the earth and when placed on or around our bodies they help to bring it back to a natural state of health.

A crystal healing session will leave you feeling in a state of peace and calm. So I have combined the two to bring a fantastic 70 minutes of bliss £38

Treat your mum for mother’s day. 15% off treatment vouchers.
